I was taking a break tonight, and reading some of my favorite blogs. I stopped by EmpowerWomenNow.com. Ponn Sabra, who is an inspiration to many, had posed the question:

So, What’s Your Name-Brand-Blog and Why?

What a great question, and one that I have discussed before. The cool part is that Ponn is running a contest on this question and the prize is an autographed copy of her best seller.

I have branded myself and my blog with three things:

1. Home with Heather - Of course is the name of my blog. I chose this name for several reasons. I am a work at home mom and that is my target market. I want to be able to help/coach other work at home moms just starting out online. I actually am home more than most moms, because my child has a disability that demands I stay here. And.. I just kind of thought it was a catchy name (before I knew that it actually was ;))
2. Heather Masson - I decided early on that I wasn’t going to hide behind an alias. I want people to get to know me for who I am. My blog is not ALL about business, it is about life as a single work at home mom. I want people to know that, to know and trust me. I want friends and readers to share in that, want to come and read what’s new. See me laugh, cry, get mad… whatever.
3. wahmbuddy - This one came along kind of by accident, but it says what I want it to say. I created this name in one of my many failed attempts at mlm. But I kind of like it. I use it mostly in forums or in places when they ask for a user name besides your real name. I am just what the name suggests.. a wahm buddy.

If you do a google search on any or all of those, you will find me at the top!

As for HWH and what I am offering, why I am unique?

• I am constantly evolving. As I learn new things, I put them into practice and share them with my readers.
• I care about my readers and what they want.
• HWH is not all about the money. Don’t get me wrong - I want to make money, but I want to be true to my readers. I don’t try and sell something every second post.
• I offer a blog about real life and working from home.

Now for the fun part…Schmoozing Ponn

I haven’t known Ponn for all that long, she left a comment on my blog one day a few months back and we’ve been dare I say blogging buds since then.

Ponn’s blog Empower Women Now is excellent. I clicked with her right away because she’s real, and she cares so very much about her readers, and her community just like I do.

Ponn is a high energy blogger. She’ll get you motivated to action just by the tone and excitement in her writing.

Side Note –>Ponn, my thoughts and prayers are with ya girl, and I so hope you start to feel like yourself again soon!
