Only 5 days before it’s All Over. Or have we only Just Begun?

My Participation

Today is day 25 of the 30 Day Challenge. As normal, we have the weekend off to play catch-up.

At this point, I’m thinking thousands of challengers are taking Ed and Dale up on their mini-challenge and starting from scratch.

For myself, I really started for the first time through the process just last night.

I finally am caught up on the teaching…

Are you a Thirty Day Challenger?

Then you know why this is such a big task. The amount of information Ed Dale and Dan Raine put out on a daily basis is amazing.

The Catch Up

How to use Google News to Help You Become an Expert

You know, I think I’m going to do the Thirty Day Challenge every year

I’m learning many new things and besides that, Ed Dale goes over something until he’s sure you’ve got it. Watching and learning from his expertise is awesome. You get to see all the lastest first hand, and as far as I can tell he’s not holding anything back.

Last night, I was watching his video on Google News. Again, something I had never really paid much attention to in the past.

Notice the Details Before You Start to Judge

What a simple piece of advise, but yet truly powerful.

Really, take a minute to think about it…

I know that I can be quick to pass judgment on things, even when I’m not always aware of it.

I’ll be at the grocery store behind someone with a screaming kid and I immediately start to judge - I should know way better than that because sometimes I’m the one in line with a screaming kids.

Or, I see some people that are in their early 40’s always broke. I don’t know what they’ve gone through.

There are so many situations when I think, there is NO WAY you’d catch me doing this or that. I could go on and on of course, but I think you get the point.

Don’t please tell me you aren’t guilty of the same. Read the rest of this entry »

Thirty Day Challenge - Day 7

I just wanted to pass along two quick points today:

First, Mike Mindel has posted a really cool tip on his 30 Day Challenge Blog. It allows you to use the Wordtracker Free Keyword Suggestion tool right from the browser. Check out the post he made on it: Tip #1 - Search Wordtracker Right From Your Browser

Second, I just got an email from a fellow participant in the 30 Day Challenge that they will be doing a blog to follow along in Spanish. So if you have any Spanish friends that are interested in the challenge check it out.

Here is the email I received:

I just started a blog in SPANISH!!! It will take me a couple of days to get up to date….

cabo de empezar un blog en ESPAÑOL!!! Me va a tomar un par de días ponerlo al día…

Gracias Mike Mindel for your help!

Have You ever used Google Trends?

I’m likely back in the stone age again. :D

Google Trends has been up for over a year now, but I just found out about it today on the Thirty Day Challenge.

Wikipedia says: Google Trends charts how often a particular search term is entered relative the total search volume across various regions of the world, and in various languages. The horizontal axis of the main graph represents time (starting from some time in 2004), and the vertical is how often a term is searched for relative the total number of searches, globally [1]. Below the main graph, popularity is broken down by region, city and language. It is possible to refine the main graph by region and time period…

It’s Already Day 5…

With being out of town the last few days, I certainly haven’t been participating in the 30 Day Challenge to the extent that I would like.

This weekend has been one of catch up for me. We got homework and everything!

Basically so far, we’ve been getting ideas and doing some simple keyword research. That’s actually what my task is right after I finish this post, to get up to speed and ready for Monday morning. We are to have seven different ideas, with the keyword research done.

I really like the fact that the weekends will be catch-up time on this challenge. I for one am trying to fit the challenge into an already overloaded summer schedule, so it’s nice that if I fall behind (really I should say when I fall behind), I will be able to catch up.

I’m loving the fact that Ed Dale is staying true to his word and keeping the challenge so simple that even someone with ZERO experience online would be able to follow along and get something out of it…I dare say even make their 10 bucks!

BTW-you can still sign up to participate at the 30DC.
This challenge is huge, in fact, they’ve already to add another server just to keep up with the mega amounts of traffic. Growing pains.

I’ve joined a team and signed up for Facebook, for the purpose of communicating with my team members during the challenge. Although I got a message from Don this morning asking where I’ve been. Oops, I’m getting on it Don…really. :)

Ed is promising a bunch of cool goodies this week on the challenge, and I’m really excited to get the first set of training.

If you do decide to sign up, I’d love to keep in touch with you so drop me a comment and let me know.

OK, I’d better get busy ;)

Expect the Best,
