and I’m kinda feeling guilty.

Thought I’d put a blog up and tell you a bit about the craziness that has been my week. Life has been so busy, disorganized and frankly quite strange lately. This week has gone by so slowly while at the same time seems to be speeding past. That ever happen to you?

It’s going slowly because I just really want my renovation to be done, and to be in my “new” home. I want to cook dinner in a new kitchen… my new kitchen. I want to put the new pictures on my walls, unpack all my things and just be home. I want my dogs to be in their own yard where I’m not worrying all damn day that they are going to wreck something at my mom’s.

The reno is so far very much on track and I am planning on moving back in next weekend. All of my friends were telling me that it couldn’t ever be done that quickly. I think it can, and I’m doing what I can to make sure it happens. We’ll see.

The cabinets are in, the painting is done, I’m hoping the bathroom will be done this weekend. The flooring goes in starting on Monday. I spent a few hours today getting things cleaned up and ready for flooring (contractors are not the tidiest group in the bunch). I have 1200′ of trim that I’ll be busy painting this weekend so it’s ready to go on after the flooring… and then we should be good to go home.

Can I please get a collective :cross-fingers: across the blogosphere?

That’s where the time rushing by comes from. Schedules to keep and deadlines to meet. In addition to keeping life as normal as possible for my boys, and my blogs.

I’ve also been out purchasing things to go IN the new house. All though you’d think that may be fun, and it is to an extent, I’m not a shopper. I don’t piss around. I go in, get what I need and leave. Hope I like what I got…

Next week will be Home with Heather’s One Year Anniversary. So I’ve spent a bit of time getting ready for that as well.

Changing subject a bit… I got another phone call I was not wanting yesterday… They say things happen in three and I guess in our family right now, that’s true. The phone call was telling my that my Uncle Ray from Vancouver passed away yesterday afternoon. I won’t be able to go to the funeral this time, but the family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Tough year… first my Dad in May, then my Grandpa in the summer and now Uncle Ray.

Anyway, I have a few hours to myself tonight. I should relax, right? I can’t… too much to do. I’ll relax after I’m back home, and when I’m on holidays at the end of November. For now I think I’ll putter a bit and then get ready for baseboards in the morning.
