Happy 100
I’m getting ready to write my first post on different ways to earn income from home and I see that this is my 100th post!
I couldn’t very well just ignore that and continue with business as usual. So I’m going to take this few minutes to just put down some thoughts about my blog, my business, and my life.
Part of what I’m finding amusing about that is that I’m not a writer. I’m a numbers girl. I didn’t go to college for writing, for working with computers, for marketing or anything like that. I went to school for accounting. You can see why I didn’t carry through with that, what a boring career that would have been for 30 or 40 years! (no offense to accountants of course)
I was actually talking to one of my friends on myspace about this yesterday. I mentioned that I don’t like writing…well I said hate actually. So I’ve been thinking about that over night. I don’t hate writing. In fact, I think I will come to really enjoy it when I feel more confident with it. Writing for me is a struggle. But I will keep struggling (fake it until I make it), and hope you enjoy what I say and get some benefit out of it.
I’ll tell you what I do enjoy…in fact REALLY LOVE.
- I love being my own boss and working from home.
- I love being home for my kids who need me so very much.
- I love learning new things and having a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.
- I LOVE trying to be able to help others with what you are doing, and giving you some words of encouragement.
- I love that all this is going to build into something wonderful for me, not the bossman as it did in years gone by.
- I love meeting all the great people that I am, through my websites and through myspace.
- I love being able to take time for friends, family, holidays, lazy days or whatever else I want to do.
I will never claim to you that I have all the answers. I’m a mom trying to figure this out the same as you are. I have mentors and people that I learn from all the time.
What I do hope to do is share with you some of what I’m learning to help you get where you want to go, and in the process get me where I want to go.
Earlier, I said that I’m not a writer. I’m not a techie either. But, I’ve always been a person to see something that needs done and do it. I hope you do too. You’ll love that sense of accomplishement when you figure out how something works, or when you look in your email and have made some sales over night.
My blog/business is no where as big as some of my mentors, but with a little work it will be one day….
OK Nuff Said.
Happy 100th Post!!
