September is always an important month. Kids go back to school. Moms get back to routines. Thoughts start to migrate toward the upcoming holidays… Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Thought I’d take a minute to ask you what you’ve got planned this month?

I always like to take time at the beginning of the month to jot down a few of the things that I want to get accomplished. Both in business, and at home.

If I have a set of goals, I find that I’m working toward something instead of just all willy-nilly from this to that not getting anything accomplished.

A set of goals to me is not the same as a to-do list. The goals are the end result, the to-do list is what you have to do to get there. And I do make a to-do list from my goals, but that’s the second part. I even can break my to-do list down into a master list and then weekly and daily lists (depending how organized I’m feeling at the moment ).

September for every Mom on earth (I’m sure), is an extremely busy time.

Here is the list that I’ve come up with:

Business

• Increase my RSS subscriptions to minimum of 120.
• Provide quality daily blog posts for my readers including ongoing tips and tricks to increase traffic.
• Participate daily in community and social networking sites to expand my community and contacts.
• Create a free PDF to give to my readers and set up the newsletter again.
• Create, optimize and monetize a minimum of 2 Christmas sales pages (as shown in the thirty day challenge)

Home

• Pack my house to prepare for a major renovation beginning at the end of September.
• Pick paint colors, and flooring.
• Become my own master contractor, working with all the sub-contractors that I’ve hired to do the renovation.
• Work with professional involved in my children’s needs to ensure they are getting what they need. This includes atleast 3 trips to our provincial children’s hospital.

I think that will be quite enough and keep me on my toes for the entire month. I’ll check back in toward the end of September to let you know where I’m at.
