Summer Vacation and Back to Reality
Wow, have I been a gypsy this summer or what??
We have been out at the lake for over 3 weeks from July until now, and then had to take another few days to go out and say goodbye to my Grandpa.
I feel like I’ve been running all summer and now I feel like I’m so far behind that I’m first
Our summer gallivanting is officially over, I only need to go back to winterize the trailer.
I love the fact that being a WAHM allows me the freedom to do that.
These are years that my kids will always remember. Summers at the lake with friends and family, swimming, tubing, BBQ’s and campfires. I have wonderful childhood memories of summers when I was growing up and I think that is soo important.
In a few years they will be teenagers. They won’t want to spend the whole summer away.
But now it’s time for a reality check…
School starts in 2 weeks for us, and I’m also planning a major home renovation in September. Those are things that have to happen, not including and of the many projects I have happening online right now.
It always helps me to set some goals and be accountable. Over the course of the next two weeks leading up to the start of school I need to:
- Continue and complete the 30 Day Challenge (I’m already a week behind as I type this).
- Get the kids school clothes and supplies.
- Winterize the trailer.
- Creative daily quality posts on HWH that will continue to bring new traffic.
- Start cleaning and sorting my house in preparation for my renovation (it’s like I’m moving).
- Talk to contractors and make sure we are on schedule.
- Find a landscaper that will re-do my yard to put in a dog run and underground sprinklers.
- Pick out the exact flooring that I want throughout my house.
- Phone and make appointments to take my children to see specialist in September.
- Continue to tweak and monetize Home with Heather using Web 2.0 Wealth (awesome).
Ouch - I think that ought to keep me busy for the next two weeks.
I’d love to hear from other stay at home moms/work at home moms.
It’s your turn to talk…
What are you doing in preparation for back to school and the end of summer vacation ??
Expect the Best,

Yeah - it’s good to go, but it’s good to be home and back to routine again too.
I just got home from school shopping. Cross your fingers if everything fits I can scratch that off my list
