I Give Up… (the rant)
Today was suppose to be my “blogging day”. It’s likely the only full work day I will get in this week…
- The kids are back in school.
- I have no appointments.
- I have a list of topics that I’ve been waiting to write.
- Brewed an extra strong pot of coffee this morning…
It’s gonna be great, right?
WRONG!!
My mind doesn’t want to play blogging today. It’s got a million other things to think about and it keeps wandering away. 
I find myself thinking about all the planning and prep I’ve got to do for my renovation coming up at the end of the month. Phoning contractors, packing boxes, picking colors……wait…I feel that little spark of…yep it’s an idea.
Whoohoo, here we go. I’m off to the….
WTF?!?
Down.. My Internet is Down!!! I give up!
Hope my ISP figures this out soon. Meantime, I think I’ll try to use one of those writing sticks and jot that idea down before I forget it.
Ever have one of those days??
I just now got my internet back online. It’s nearly 2:00 in the afternoon. I’ve been looking to blog since 5:00 this morning when I got up with such good intentions.
Sheesh!
And to make it worse, my phoneline was out too (same provider) so I couldn’t even phone any of those contractors. Oh well, all’s well I guess. Now I’ll just play catch up instead being miss organized for the rest of the week LOL

haha procrastination my favorite! i used to procrastinate when it came to blogging but now that im in school it seems to be the other way around, i want to blog more and do less home work lol. i understand where your coming from.

Unexpected situations do happen now and then - my brother just got into bad trouble this week which really messed up my blogging plans. Some readjustment of priorities later and I managed to get some work done. Phew!
If you find yourself distracted despite having planned what to do, take a coupla minutes to refocus. Walk around the garden, take a breather. It helps me most times.

As you fall asleep, you think about all the things you want to do the next day. You envision yourself getting up early and posting your brains out, answering emails, commenting on sites, planning your next big project, etc. HA!
You sleep in, waking up with a migraine, your ISP is slower than molasses in… and when it finally kicks into 5th gear, you’re out of the mood to do anything that’s closely related to ‘work’. What do you do?

Taking a break when feeling unfocused is most often the best thing to do.. you come back to it refreshed and ready to go.
Perseverance - Also so important! Nobody said this journey would be fun and easy EVERY day
Today is a new day and though I can’t devote it completely to online work, I have a plan and will work through it.
What I try and avoid is lying in bed at night thinking of things that I didn’t get accomplished that day. I try not to beat myself up about it.. being a single wahm with two high needs kids, things can ‘occasionally’ come up to throw my day off schedule. It’s all about rolling with it.
